Story
Controguerra (TE), Abruzzo
Villa Barcaroli winery belongs to the group Ciù Ciù Tenimenti Bartolomei and it’s located in Abruzzo, in the province of Teramo. Here the passion for wine and territory gives birth to natural wines, a beautiful expression of local terroir.
The Villa has been bought by the Bartolomei’s and will soon be restored.
Grapes
Established in the heart of production of local grapes Montepulciano and Trebbiano, this winery is right outside the village of Controguerra.
The wine catalogue counts with Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva DOC and Trebbiano DOC. They proudly represent the local production.
In the middle of the vineyards shines the Villa, a magnificent XVII century mansion where we still stock bottles from Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC 1954.
It’s in the countryside right outside the village and in the middle of the vineyards.
Philosophy
The winery is certified Demeter biodynamic. Both in the vineyard and the cellar we work with 100% natural products. In our wines Nature thrives and local terroir shines.
